great

● Parent Council meeting with Director Hahn went well (Patti and Joanna spoke about this)
-We brought up class sizes
-He brought up tech, AI and what the future looks like for our kids. They won’t be having individual
computers in grade 9, moving away from tech because of AI
-making grade 9 a smoother transition
-There is development for teachers to use AI as a helping tool
● Early Reading Screening – This is completed with students in grades SK-gr. 2 twice per year.
We have been screening all students for reading SK-gr. 8 to support their reading development better. Letters have been sent home to families with students who did not pass the screener
(SK-2). – This is done in the Fall and Feb. We do it three times, Fall, Feb and in May. We look for
kids that need extra time learning
● Continued staff learning with Indigenous learning – Elder visiting our school for learning later in
April (April 27). Informed will be sent home closer to that date. – We do have staff in the school
who are doing professional development to go along with this

Thursdays. Schedules have been shared
